Holy Moly mashies! We've officially hit 51% funding!!! You are all SO amazing, and we're so SO thankful for all the support and love. Seriously blown away by the initial turnout.
Since we've had some wonderful folks ask some great questions, we wanted to address them in an update in case it helps anyone else.
How exactly does Kickstarter work?
Officially, Kickstarter is a platform that allows creative projects to receive funding. Another way to think of it is kinda like a preorder. Kinda.
Right now, our small business isn't able to pay the factory costs upfront. So with Kickstarter, wonderful people like you can support and pledge money to help us raise those funds. Then, once we're funded, we can start the manufacturing process and get you your Corks!

Can I get more than one Cork?
We have multiple tiers available including the Cork Cuddler (which comes with 1 Cork), Twin Corks (which comes with 2 Corks), and The Shiver Pack (which comes with 5 Corks). We hope one of these tiers will fit your needs!
With Kickstarter, you can't change the reward quantity per tier - so if you pick the Cork Cuddler you can't change the quantity of Corks from 1 to 4. This is just the way Kickstarter is set up.
When will I be charged?
If the Cork Kickstarter reaches its funding goal, you will be charged when the campaign ends. After we receive the inventory, we will use a Kickstarter verified company called Backerkit to fulfill shipping and you will be charged shipping separately.
How do I change my reward selection?
To change your reward selection, visit the Cork Kickstarter page and click the “Manage your pledge” blue button that appears next to your pledge amount.
On the next page, select "Change your pledge" and then change your selection. You can only select a single pledge level at a time.
Does my pledge include shipping?
No. Shipping and package tracking will be handled after/if the project is fully funded.
After the campaign is complete and if we've hit our funding goal, we will use the Kickstarter verified tool Backerkit to manage all orders, shipments, and tracking. This is where we'll collect your shipping information, handle any updates, and charge for the shipping costs. Shipping likely won't happen for a few months after the campaign ends - we will be sure to keep Backers updated on the entire process. We've included some rough estimates on your Kickstarter page, under "Shipping," to give Backers an idea (keep in mind these are estimates and also be aware if you live in a country that charges VAT as this will be an additional charge).
You will receive an update and will be charged shipping separately before the Cork ships to you. We will be sure to keep you updated on this process!
Remember that the Cork will only come to life if we reach 100% funding, so if you can, please share and spread the word!!
